The EHA BC mailing list is a self-serve opt-in source of important information when it happens. Messages will be relatively infrequent — two or less messages a month — because we know you're busy!

Get notice about upcoming meetings and special events, and significant updates to this website and our blog. Just add your email address to our mailing list.

Sign up when you want. Unsubscribe when you don't. You're in control.
We'll respect your privacy. Your email address will never be sold or given to anyone.

We request that all EHA BC members maintain their correct current email address on this list in order to facilitate contacting you about upcoming events and important changes.

What Happens When You Subscribe?

When asking to receive the EHA News you will receive two messages from us:

A message confirming your address (to ensure it is really you submitting a request to subscribe). Just reply to that message, removing nothing from the message.
A message welcoming you to the EHA News will come (once you have confirmed your intention to subscribe by replying to the first message).

When you've received the second message welcoming you, you've successfully subscribed to EHA News!

What Happens When You Unsubscribe?

When asking to take you off the EHA News you will receive a single confirmation email stating that your address has been unsubscribed. You will no longer receive our messages.

How to Change Your Address

If you wish to change the email address to which our notices are sent, simply remove (unsubscribe) your first address, then subscribe with the new address.

We Protect Your Privacy

To ensure that we respect your privacy, we can only add your address manually when instructions to do so come from the e-mail address to you wish to be subscribed. This both ensures that the address is correct and that it is you that is subscribing.

Not Receiving Our Messages?

If you have received our confirmation message welcoming you, the following issues may help resolve why you don't see EHA News postings:

Check that your email program's spam filters aren't interfering. Adding ehanews@ehabc.org to your address book usually works to correct this.
If your ISP has spam filtering, you'll need to ensure that the messages aren't caught up there. Contact your ISP for help.
Some security software can interfere. Check the settings or contact the vendor for help.

Bounced Messages

Your ISP's server will automatically bounce (reject) messages when your account is too full or if the email address is incorrect. Upon receipt of such a notice, we will manually remove affected addresses from the EHA News database.

You will need to fix the problem with your email account before you re-subscribe to this list:

by removing messages (if your mailbox exceeds the maximum allowed size); or
by contacting your ISP for assistance if the account is in arrears or otherwise unavailable to you.

Avoiding Issues with Your Email Account

To avoid potential problems with your email account and ensure you receive our notices:

Ensure that overly-sensitive spam filters aren't to blame (see the "Not Receiving Our Messages?" section, above.
Check your email regularly to avoid overfilling your mailbox.
Be sure to unsubscribe if your email address is not attended (vacation, etc.). You can resubscribe when you are able to monitor you messages again.
To change your address, simply remove (unsubscribe) your first address, then subscribe with the new address.
